Simply Gluten Free was created by Jean Gordon and Debbie Sipos shortly after Jean was diagnosed with Celiac Disease. For Jean, it meant accepting the realization that going “gluten free” required a complete lifestyle change. Grocery shopping took hours and consisted of, tedious label reading, and making trips to multiple markets. It became immediately apparent that a great many of the gluten free products were not nearly as tasty as the proclaimed to be.

Eating out became a challenge, and attending parties became awkward. Shortly after Jean’s diagnosis, Debbie’s father also became gluten sensitive. For Debbie, as both a friend and a daughter, it became vitally important to create a system of support, which included being informed of a celiac patient’s dietary restrictions, researching restaurants and menu’s that offered GF (gluten free) designation, searching for more appetizing gluten free alternatives, being conscious of situations where GF foods were not available and preparing and serving GF meals in her own home.

Simply Gluten Free is geared to addressing these issues by providing delicious gluten free solutions, creative alternatives as well as vital information that will allow celiac patients to lead more healthy lifestyles.
